Life Groups: real connection in a disconnected world

Despite technology making communication easier, many people still feel alone. We scroll, like, and comment—but deep down, we long for something more: real friendships and a place to belong. Life Groups are more than just meetings; they are a growing community where real relationships are built-both with God and with one another.

life groups follow a biblical model

The early church lived this out. Acts 2:42-47 shows believers devoted to teaching, prayer, breaking bread, and fellowship. They didn’t just gather in a building once a week-they did life together. They encouraged, supported, and challenged each other, and as a result, God worked through them in powerful ways.

we are created for community

From the very beginning, God designed us for connection. In Genesis 1:26, He says,”Let us make man in our image.” The very nature of God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit-shows that He is relational. Since we are made in His image, we are created for community, not isolation.

a place to grow in faith & friendship

Life Groups are where we experience this same kind of connection today. As we engage in Scripture, pray together, and walk through life’s ups and downs, we grow spiritually and relationally. True connection happens when we step into community, and Life Groups are the place where that starts.

Why start a life group?

Think about the friends in your life—how many of them would benefit from a community

like this? Real connection doesn’t happen by accident; it takes intentionality. What if you

made the effort to bring people together, creating a space to build friendships, grow in

faith, and explore the Bible? A simple step toward deeper relationships could help your

friends find the meaningful, life-giving community they’ve been searching for. You never

know how God might use your invitation to change someone’s life.

who can help?

Leading a Life Group with friends makes the experience even more meaningful and fun! We encourage Life Group Leaders to invite a few friends to help launch the group and share responsibilities. Here are a few key roles to consider:

  • Leader - Invite a friend to help lead group discussions.
  • Host - Ask someone to open their home for gatherings.
  • Support Leader - Have a friend organize details and communicate with the group.
  • Hangout Leader - Let a friend plan and lead monthly hangout nights.

By sharing these responsibilities, you create a stronger, more connected group where everyone plays a part in building community.
